What is The Eggplant Lab?

1

What products does The Eggplant Lab offer?

2

We currently offer two products designed to work as a complete below-the-belt skincare system — The Eggplant Wash, a pH-matched foaming cleanser that gently cleanses, controls odour, and prevents ingrown hairs while doubling as a shaving foam, and The Eggplant Cream, a leave-on hydrating and deodorizing cream that brightens uneven skin tone, neutralises odour through a dual-mechanism system, soothes the skin, and prevents chafing. Two products. One routine. Everything your most sensitive skin actually needs.

How often should I use both products and what's the best time to apply them?

3

Once a day is all you need — and the routine is two steps. Use The Eggplant Wash in the shower to cleanse, balance your pH, and clear follicles, then apply The Eggplant Cream is applied after drying on the intimate area (Gorin, penile area, the whole package) before you start your day. works all day, and by the time your coffee is ready you're already done.

Are the ingredients safe for sensitive intimate skin?

4

Every ingredient across both formulas was selected and validated specifically for intimate area use — not repurposed from general body skincare. Both products are sulfate-free, paraben-free, aluminium-free, and petroleum-free, with no ingredients restricted for mucous membrane use under EU Regulation 1223/2009. The full formula was reviewed by a qualified toxicologist and cosmetic safety assessor specifically for intimate skin sensitivity before any production decision was made.

How does the product control odour and how long does it last after usage?

5

The Eggplant Wash and Cream use a dual-mechanism system — Zinc Ricinoleate physically captures odour molecules at the molecular level before they become a problem, while Triethyl Citrate blocks the bacterial enzyme responsible for creating the smell in the first place. Two independent mechanisms working simultaneously means odour is addressed at the source, not masked with fragrance. With daily use, protection carries through the full day — not just the first hour after your shower.

How is The Eggplant Wash different from just using a regular body wash or feminine hygiene soap?

6

Regular body wash sits at pH 9–10 — your intimate skin needs 4.5–5.0 — and every shower with the wrong product strips the acid mantle that keeps bacteria in check and irritation out. The Eggplant Wash is pH-matched, sulfate-free, and formulated specifically for this skin, not adapted from a product built for your back. That difference is the reason the freshness actually lasts.

Why does the cream have a light purple colour and does it stain my underwear?

7

The purple colour comes entirely from Butterfly Pea Flower Extract — a natural botanical ingredient, not a synthetic dye or colorant. It is designed to absorb into the skin on application and should not transfer to underwear or clothing when applied in a thin, even layer as directed. Butterfly Pea Flower Extract is packed with anthocyanins — natural compounds that neutralise free radicals, calm irritation, and support the skin's natural recovery process after shaving or daily friction.
